You will note I did not use the terminology native american. The Random House
cvollegiate Dictionary defines a native as 'being the place of origin of a 
person or thing;' 'born to the place or country indicated. i.e. Native born
Australian.' Therefore I was born in the United States and am a Native American.
Ther term American Indian is more correct.
